There were maybe 75-100 people in line last night, and I heard Thom was nice and appreciative to most (all?) or them who stuck around. I was 20th or so in line, and had two records in my hands: OK Computer and The Smile's debut LP, and it came down to a choice of which one I get signed. I went with OKC since I figured I would never have another chance at getting that one signed.
It was a great experience. Thom was quiet, personable, and friendly. He chatted up fans and seemed genuinely happy to be what I can only consider giving back to the people who helped him get to where he is. Definitely stick around after the show, grab a spot in line, and have fun. Last night is going to stick with me for a long time.
